The EGYM strength circuit gives you the opportunity to complete your training quickly and effectively. With just 2 training sessions of 11.5 minutes each per week, you can achieve your sporting goals.

We at VITENSO Health Center Darmstadt are here to help you with your training. You will receive a medical body measurement and after a detailed preliminary consultation we will draw up a training plan tailored to your individual needs.

Build up targeted muscles and improve your strength endurance. Our premium fitness equipment helps you to build muscle effectively through guided movement sequences.
Equipment-supported endurance and strength training offers a very precise execution of movements. There is a low error rate in the execution of the movements, and there are hardly any possibilities for evasion. The risk of injury, even during intensive training, is minimized with equipment-supported training.
Vitenso has a wide range of stations and equipment for equipment-based endurance and strength training, such as a treadmill or bicycle ergometer.
The equipment training is particularly suitable for beginners, but also complements the workout for advanced users.

Cardio training moves your large muscle groups so evenly that your cardiovascular performance is accelerated and your lungs are trained to absorb more oxygen and thus become more efficient.
A cardio training plan includes swimming, cycling and jogging, for example. Whether on the treadmill, cross trainer, stepper, stairmaster or rowing machine – our premium equipment at Vitenso leaves nothing to be desired.

Cardio training, or endurance training, has a positive effect on the body every day.

Functional training takes strength training to a new level. In contrast to traditional strength training, in which individual muscles are often trained in isolation, functional training focuses on incorporating complex movements into the workout. It’s not just about getting stronger, but also about flexibility, balance and coordination.

Train with your own body weight and everyday exercises to strengthen entire muscle groups. The exercises are suitable for everyone, regardless of your age, training condition or performance level. Competitive athletes use functional training to prepare for competitions, while amateur athletes can increase their well-being in everyday life and reduce their susceptibility to injury.

Training for advanced users: train with free weights and without guided movements. This will improve your maximum strength and promote muscle growth. In our free weights area you will find a large selection of dumbbells, barbells, multi-presses, lat pull-down towers and cable pulleys.

Workplace health promotion, or WHP for short, at VITENSO includes measures aimed at improving the well-being of employees in the Merck Group and preventing health problems. These measures can either be aimed at influencing employee behaviour (behavioural prevention) or they can analyze and optimize working conditions (relationship prevention). It often makes sense to combine both approaches in order to achieve the best result.

A helpful starting point for the introduction of OHF measures is the evaluation of sickness-related absences. Four central topics can be derived from this: Exercise, nutrition, stress and addiction. These areas help to identify potential risks and stresses. For example, by analyzing the working environment, problems with the back or ergonomic deficits can be uncovered and specifically addressed. Nutritional aspects such as canteen meals can be considered in the same way as psychosocial factors caused by stress. The focus is on methods of stress management and a healthy management culture. Addiction-related topics, such as smoke-free workplaces or reducing the consumption of addictive substances, also play an important role.

These topics can be complemented by other elements such as effective communication, understanding demographic differences and promoting a better work-life balance. The goal at VITENSO is to create a healthy working environment in which employees feel comfortable and remain healthy in the long term.

With the opening of the Health Center, you not only have the opportunity to train on site, but also in Fitness First’s partner studios throughout Germany. COURSES

There are two course rooms available at VITENSO. The offer includes health and fitness courses as well as prevention courses according to §20 SGB V. The course topics and content include established topics, but are also geared towards the latest trends. All course instructors have the appropriate professional and, where applicable, specific qualifications. When conducting the varied courses, the respective course leader always takes into account the individual abilities of the participants.

COURSES FOR MEMBERS ONLY

The regular range of courses for members only includes various health, relaxation and fitness courses that are included as part of membership. An appropriate number of courses are held each week, the content and demand of which are tailored to the needs of the members. Courses are offered in the early morning, at lunchtime and in the late afternoon/evening.

Possible, regular course program taking into account demand and capacity:

  • Cardiovascular: e.g. interval runs, Tae-Bo, boot camp
  • Strengthening: e.g. back fitness, Pilates, BBP, barbell workout
  • Relaxation: e.g. stretch & relax, yoga, mobility
  • Target group-specific course times (before/after work, during lunch break, at shift change)

PREVENTION COURSES ACCORDING TO §20 SGB V (CAN ALSO BE BOOKED WITHOUT MEMBERSHIP)

In addition to the regular range of courses, we also offer prevention courses in accordance with § 20 SGB V, which are certified accordingly. The prevention courses at VITENSO are subject to a fee for all participants and are offered in cooperation with Merck BKK.
